Book a Pregnancy Assessment

A comprehensive assessment of your pregnancy. This assessment will look at your posture, abdominal muscles, function and pelvic floor.

Book this if you have been suffering from pelvic girdle pain, joint pain or lower back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, or if you would like exercise advice as the bump grows, or for birth prep advice.

Suitable once you have had your 12-week midwife appointment/scan.

This can be completed at either Bath, Corsham, or West Kington.

PREGNANCY AND YOUR PELVIC FLOOR

The pelvic floor stretches up to three times its length during pregnancy. To give birth, it needs to lengthen and release effectively, allowing the uterus to push the baby out.

For many people, pregnancy is the first time they really think about their pelvic floor—and it’s completely normal to feel unsure about whether you’re engaging it correctly.

I’ll assess your pelvic floor (either through a vaginal examination or by observing how it functions), and together we’ll create a personalised birth preparation plan.
