  • You'd love to exercise, but childcare isn't an option.

That's exactly why I created Mum & Bub Pilates.

Why I Created Mum & Bub Pilates

I wanted to create the class I wish had existed when I became a mum.

As a pelvic health physiotherapist, when I had my first baby, I experienced first-hand just how different my body felt. I wanted to join a postnatal exercise class, but all I could find were generic fitness classes focused on helping women lose the baby weight.

It didn't feel right.

Pregnancy and birth bring incredible changes to the pelvic floor, abdominal wall, breathing, posture and the way we move, yet very few classes acknowledged these changes or helped women rebuild their strength safely and confidently.

I knew there had to be a better way.

So I created Mum & Bub Pilates – a class that puts recovery before "bouncing back". A place where women can understand their bodies, rebuild confidence, regain strength and return to exercise safely, all while bringing their baby along.

Because I don't believe becoming a mum should stop you doing the things you love.

My goal has never been to help women get their body back—it's to help them discover just how strong their body can become.

  • "My Favourite Class of My Maternity Leave"

    —Sophie, Mum to Freddie

  • "Claire I can't thank you enough, I jumped on the trampoline and my insides didn't come out!

    - Helen, Mum to Arthur

  • "These classes are so special, you have supported us throughout the newborn stage, and each week my confidence has grown, alongside a real appreciation for my new body"

    —Megan, Mum to Ottlie

Led by a specialist pelvic health physiotherapist (and mum of four), these classes are designed to help you safely return to movement after birth.

Whether you're newly postpartum or a few months in, you'll be guided every step of the way in a supportive, welcoming environment.

BRINGING YOUR BABY!

Worried about how it works with a baby?

  • Babies of any age under one, are always welcome (and expected!)

  • Sometimes it gets noisy! If so, we pause, give the babies some attention.

  • Feeding, changing and settling are all part of the class

  • Some sessions you’ll do more, some less—and that’s okay

  • Aim to have fed your baby before hand, bring a pram, bouncy chair, a few toys.

  • Often the babies enjoy the social side as much as the mums!

It’s a relaxed, supportive space with no pressure or no judgement.

  • 10:00 – Advanced Postnatal

  • 11.00 - Intermediate

  • 12.00 - Early Postnatal

The 10 am is the advanced class. It is suitable from 6 months + and if you are symptom free. It focuses on single leg control and strength with harder weights, and abdominal loading and returning to higher-level activities such as running and jumping.

11 am Intermediate class is designed to help you build core strength, improve posture, and progress on the foundations addressed in the first class. Weights become slightly heavier, repetitions increase, and there is greater loading on the pelvic floor and abdominal wall.

Suitable for anyone 4 months post birth (Vaginal and C-section). The focus is on reconnecting the abdominals and pelvic floor, and progressing toward functional strength with proper technique.

12 pm Early Postnatal class - focuses on building a foundation of core and posture and getting used to movement again.

Gentle weights are involved, and the pace is a bit slower than the other two classes
